Lights On

For the past weeks, the whole country–the whole world–has been in chaos, another peak of the same conflict of the grand historical material plot.

But this is a Sunday for people like me. And there are songs from people like you that manage to squeeze in among the day’s rustling leaves.

Held your heart till the bitter end
You held my hand like I was your best friend
In another life we will meet again
Again

To keep the light on, honey, is the least that I can do
If I keep running back to you
